The Trail Management Platform (TMP) brings field surveys, maintenance, and analysis of your trail network together in one place.

Your team records trail conditions or working hours directly on site, even without a network connection, and back in the office this data automatically provides the basis for cost estimates and reports. Developed by our GIS and infrastructure specialists for use in the field.

How the TMP works

Step 1

Collect data in the field

All relevant information about your trail network is recorded with georeferenced locations directly in the app on site, even without a network connection.

  • Field Assessment (field survey): record all MTB-related points of interest in your region
  • Trail Design (trail layout): position planned trail features such as Tables, Antiberms, or Shark Fins with georeferenced locations
  • Signage planning: record existing and new locations for wayfinding and information signs

Step 2

Manage and plan

Damage reports, tasks, and working hours come together in one place instead of being scattered across notes and files.

  • Maintenance management: record trail damage with a location and photo, and plan measures from the action catalog
  • Team coordination: assign tasks and track progress across the team
  • Time reporting: record daily working hours by project and task as a basis for compensation

Step 3

Analyze and document

The recorded data automatically provides the basis for cost estimates, reports, and investment decisions.

  • Cost estimation: automatic calculation based on trail/damage type, length, and predefined formulas
  • Reporting: map and list views, plus exports as Excel files or PDF reports
  • Interfaces with ArcGIS and QGIS for external GIS applications

Connecting the field team and the officeThe TMP runs on mobile and desktop devices as well as tablets, and is compatible with robust “rugged devices” (e.g., Samsung Active Tab) that can also be operated with gloves.

What happens to our data when we have no network connection in the field?

Collect data offline, synchronize automaticallyThe app works offline. Data is collected in the field and automatically synchronized with the database as soon as a network connection becomes available.
